Ankle and foot protection against thermal risks: flames, convective and radiant heat, molten metal splashes.
The aluminised coat should overlap the gaiters by approximately 10cm to prevent splashes from penetrating.
Aluminized gaiters with velcro fastener are recommended for prolonged or continuous use.
• Gaiters with holding strap beneath the sole (strap breaks easily in case of snagging to avoid a fall)

• Soft metal bar to be bent “into shape” before first use to fit the rounding of the top of the instep to prevent the gaiters from turning
